History of Midwest mountaineering

Product

Midwest Mountaineering began in 1970 when Rod Johnson pioneered seven-day climbing. So, nearly back then, there were only a few rock trekkers with us, and Rod was among them, albeit a very upset one. Nobody in the area had the necessary climbing equipment or knowledge.

Rod chose to change this grim fact by establishing a happy climbing group right here in the flatland. Johnson made a trip to California and returned with a backpack stuffed with climbing equipment. He managed to sell it to his closest friends for dirt cheap. He sold everything in seven days! Climbers in the Midwest were now happy because they had innovative methods to get high. And it was fantastic!
