Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park, a premier Colorado attraction 80 miles from Denver, will debut the latest addition to its family of rides with the opening of a new, seven-story “adventure tower” on July 16.
The Sky Cabin ride offers a panoramic view 300 feet up through glass panels in the floor and ceiling – as well as high-speed roller coaster thrills for those who choose to step outside onto a glass-floored, open-air observation deck.
The $5 million-plus Sky Cabin, built by Philadelphia Toboggan Coasters (PTC), is the second major ride to debut in recent years at Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park, which was acquired in 2008 by CNL Lifestyle Properties of Orlando, Fla.

“We get people who want to go up there just for their lunch break,” said management. “It’s very relaxing.”
The park sits on 500 acres at the entrance to Glenwood Canyon, one of Colorado’s most spectacular scenic attractions.
